Tokyo Driftin'

Nice Drifting Cars

Drifting to get a Chick's Number

Speed does not need any translation indeed. For the third franchise of The Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift, any language or cultural barrier between the young white lad and the fierce Japanese were immediately effaced through the art of drifting. The streets of Tokyo was probably crafted for drifting, what with all its curves and the grandiose of its engineering that was beautifully showcased in the film. But more importantly, the film was definitely about cars. Given that the film was set in Tokyo, it was time to flaunt all of Japan's street racing beauties. Ergo, the parade of the Nissans and Mazdas were all the more glorified by the stunts of drifting. For men out there, the Asian babes were also pretty numerous---you surely will be dizzy with their flashy J-pop fashion. Us girls on the other hand will just have to make do with Brian Tee (“DK”), Bow-wow, and Lucas Black (Sean Boswell).

There was even a surprise guest appearance by the real king of fast, Vin Diesel at the end of the film, who was sporting his trademark American Muscle Plymouth Roadrunner from the first Fast and the Furious. Aside from the surprising twists and turn of the movie and all that attempt to portray all the issues of the youth, the movie was filled with action-packed drifting and flashy Tokyo trends. You will never get bored even with the attempt of a little dramatic conflict between father and son, because in the end, it is all about drifting it.
