The
unforgettably heart-warming film Little Miss Sunshine took Hollywood by a delighted surprise. The film was warmly appreciated by The Academy, and of millions of movie patrons worldwide---regardless of age and car bias. The movie's light, witty, and touching screenplay was flawlessly executed by a remarkable cast.
But the best actor behind the movie was the Vokswagen T2 camper. It showed how durable and comfortable the van could be, sticking with the family through tough times. Most of the scenes show the family pushing the van, and then once it starts to roll, there will be no stopping it. They had to run after it to get inside the van. These scenes became an enduring show of affection and family bonding. The T2 became a family member as well, and undoubtedly a strong member of the cast.
Actor Greg Kinnear showed its appreciation of the van at the Screen Actors Guild saying, “I'd like to thank the engineers at Volkswagen for making a beautiful vehicle back in 1969 that was comfortable and so safe."
